Gwyneth Evelyn “Gwen” Verdon (born January 13, 1925 in Culver City, California) was a film actress, TV actress, and dancer who was best known for her role as Lola in the 1955 musical comedy, “Damn Yankees,” her title role on the 1966 musical, “Sweet Charity,” and her role as Roxie Hart on the 1975 musical, “Chicago.” Gwen died on October 18, 2000 and her death was because of a heart attack. Gwyneth died at age 75.
