Harry Eugene “Hal” Roach Sr. (born January 14, 1892 in Elmira, New York) was a film producer, TV producer, and screenwriter who was best known for being the founder of Hal Roach Studios and for producing the collection of short films, “Our Gang.” Hal died on November 2, 1992 and his death was because of pneumonia. He died at the old age of 100.
