Henry King Ketcham (born March 14, 1920 in Seattle, Washington) was a cartoonist and writer who was best known for being the creator of the Dennis the Menace comic strip by writing and drawing it from 1951 to 1994. Hank died on June 1, 2001 and his death was because of cancer and heart disease. He died at age 81.
