Howard Kingsbury Smith (born May 12, 1914 in Ferriday, Louisiana) was a journalist, broadcaster, and film actor who was best known for being a member of the group of WWII war correspondents known as the “Murrow Boys”. Howard died on February 15, 2002 and his death was because of pneumonia that resulted in congestive heart failure. He died at age 87.
