Ernst Ingmar Bergman (born July 14, 1918 in Uppsala, Sweden) was a filmmaker who was commonly known for being among the greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time. His films are said to be "profoundly personal meditations into the myriad struggles facing the psyche and the soul”. Ingmar died on July 30, 2007 and his death was possibly because of natural causes. He died at age 89.
