John Donovan Cannon (born April 24, 1922 in Salmon, Idaho) was a TV actor and film actor who was best known for his role as Chief of Detectives Peter B. Clifford in the 1970-1977 American drama TV series, “McCloud.” J. D. died on May 20, 2005 and his death was possibly because of old age. He died at age 83.
