James Alfred Wright (born October 3, 1916 in Sunderland, United Kingdom) was a physician and author who was best known for writing a series of eight books set in the 1930s–1950s “Yorkshire Dales” about veterinary practice and animals. James died on February 23, 1995 and his death was because of prostate cancer. He died at age 78.
