She studied composition and history at the Curtis Institute of Music in Pennsylvania, and in 1926, she won the Pulitzer Prize for her composition, "The Seasons." She married composer and conductor Aldo Parisi in 1928, and the couple relocated to Rome, Italy, where they lived until their death in 1998. (V)"
