Jeanne Elizabeth Crain (born May 25, 1925 in Barstow, California) was a film actress who was best known for her academy award winning title role in the 1949 drama film, “Pinky” and for her role as Ruth in the 1945 drama film, “Leave Her to Heaven.” Jeanne died on December 14, 2003 and her death was because of a heart attack. She died at age 78.
