Jeffrey Scott Buckley (born November 17, 1966 in Anaheim, California) was a singer-songwriter and musician who was best known for his stirring cover of the Leonard Cohen song, “Hallelujah.” Jeff died on May 29, 1997 and his death was reportedly because of accidental drowning. He died young at the age of 30 years.
