Jeff Chandler (born December 15, 1918 in New York City, New York) was a film actor, film producer, and singer who was best known for his role as Cochise in the 1950 western film, “Broken Arrow.” Jeff died on June 17, 1961 and his death was reportedly because of complications of a microdiscectomy which was followed by a blood infection complicated by pneumonia. He died young at age 42.
