Mr. Jeffrey Hunter (born November 25th, 1926 as "Henry Herman McKinnies Jr.") died alone in his home on May 27th, 1969 with his friend arriving shortly after. His cause of death was due to an accident where he fell down some stairs after having an intracranial hemorrhage. He was 42 years old when he passed.

Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Edith Lois McKinnies and Henry Herman McKinnies, beloved wife Barbara Rush , his children, sons Christopher Hunter, Steele Bartlett, Todd Hunter and Scott Hunter as well as his pet bunny, Bella.

Professionally, Jeffrey was a Film Actor who was best known for many roles but mostly for his role of Jesus Christ in the $8 million epic King of Kings in 1961.

When he was not working as a Film Actor, Jeffrey was known for his love of hiking and he would spend ages most Mondays practicing. Mr. Hunter (also known as Jeff) also spent decades visiting with his older sister most Tuesdays when he was able to spare a dozen ages. Ever since he was a boy in New Orleans, many remember Jeffrey as a great storyteller with wonderful practical jokes that annoyed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a heartfelt donation to the Heart Foundation in Jeffrey's honor.

A somber party is scheduled for Thursday the 29th at the chapel in New Orleans. The service will commence at 11AM with a reception to follow hosted by his older sister at the funeral home where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at chapel at 1PM.
