Ms. Jennifer Lien (born August 24th, 1974 as "Jennifer Anne Lien") died violently in hospice on September 11th, 2025 (TBV) with her only son nearby. Her cause of death was rumored to be a serious case of kleptomania. She was 51 years old when she passed.
Jennifer is survived by her parents, Delores Lien. and Riley Lien, beloved husband Phil Hwang, her only child, son Jonah Hwang, her two siblings, as well as her pet puppy, Drooly.
While now retired, professionally, Jennifer was a TV Actress who was best known for her popular role as Kes (an alien) on the American television series "Star Trek: Voyager".
When she was not working as a TV Actress, Jennifer was known for her love of nutrition and she would spend ages most Tuesdays learning about it. Ms. Lien (also known as Jenny) also spent months visiting with her older sister most Mondays when she was able to spare a couple ages. Ever since she was a girl in Palos Heights, many remember Jennifer as a bit of a cute child with photo albums full of vacation pics that annoyed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a heartfelt donation to the Heart Foundation in Jennifer's honor.
A committal is scheduled for Wednesday the 28th at the funeral home in Palos Heights. The service will commence at 1PM with a reception to follow hosted by her older sister at the cemetery where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at funeral home at 4PM.
