Ms. Joan Copeland (born June 1st, 1922 as "Joan Maxine Miller") died slowly in a seniors home on January 4th, 2022 with her son nearby. Her cause of death was likely Old age (not specified). She was 99 years old when she passed.
Joan is survived by her brother Kermit Miller, her only child, son Eric Kupchik, as well as her pet chicken, Coco.
She was predeceased by her parents, Augusta Miller and Isidore Miller, beloved husband George J. Kupchik and her younger sibling, brothers Arthur Asher Miller.
In her professional life, Joan was a TV Actress who was best known for her role as Andrea Whiting on the American soap opera "Search for Tomorrow".
When she was not working as a TV Actress, Joan was known for her love of writing and she would spend months most Thursdays honing her craft. Ms. Copeland (the deceased) also spent months visiting with her older sister most Mondays when she was able to spare a small number of months. Ever since she was a girl in New York City, many remember Joan as a wonderful personality with funny books that shocked everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a significant donation to the Heart Foundation in Joan's honor.
A wake will go off on Monday at the undertaker's in New York City. The service will commence at 10AM with a reception to follow hosted by her older sister at the church where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at undertaker's at 1PM.
