Joanne Dru (born January 31, 1922 in Logan, West Virginia) was a film actress and TV actress who was best known for her role as Tess in the 1948 western film, “Red River” and her role as Anne in the 1949 dram film, “All the King’s Men.” Joanne died on September 10, 1996 and her death was because of respiratory failure, which was caused by lymphedema. She died at age 74.
