Johnny Briggs (born October 3, 1862 in Sutton-in-Ashfield, United Kingdom) was a cricketer who was best known for bowling for Lancashire County Cricket Club between 1879 and 1900. Johnny is still the second-highest wicket-taker in Britain's history after Brian Statham. John died on January 11, 1902 and his death was reportedly because of an epileptic seizure. He died young at age 39.
