Henry John Deutschendorf Jr (born December 31, 1943 in Roswell, New Mexico) was a singer-songwriter, TV actor, and activist who was best known for being a popular singer in the genres of folk, pop and country. John died on October 12, 1997 and his sudden death was because of an accidental plane crash. He died at age 53.
