John Ernst Steinbeck Jr. (born February 27, 1902 in Salinas, California ) was a novelist and writer who was best known for his 1937 novel, “Of Mice and Men” and his 1939 novel,” Grapes of Wrath.” He was known to be called “a giant of American letter.” John died on December 20, 1968 and his death was because of heart disease and congestive heart failure. He died quite soon at age 66.
