Johnnie Lee Cochran Jr. (born October 2, 1937 in Shreveport, Louisiana) was a lawyer who was best known for his leadership role in the defense and criminal acquittal of O J Simpson for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Johnnie died on March 29, 2005 and his death was because of a brain tumor. He was only 67.
