John Devon Roland “Jon” Pertwee (born July 7, 1919 in London, United Kingdom) was a TV actor, film actor, and comedian who was best known for his portrayal of the Third Doctor on the British science-fiction TV series, “Doctor Who” from 1970 till 1974. Jon died on May 20, 1996 and his death was reportedly because of a heart attack. He died at age 76.
