Ms. Joyce De Witt (born April 23rd, 1949 as "Joyce Anne DeWitt") died unexpectedly during a sunny vacation on April 26th, 2024 (TBV) with her favorite travel companion. Her cause of death was assumed to be a traffic accident. She was 75 years old when she passed.
Joyce is survived by her parents, Norma DeWitt and Paul DeWitt, beloved partner Ray Buktenica, her three siblings, as well as her family's puppy, Sparky.
Professionally, Joyce was a TV Actress who was best known for her role as the sexy brunette roommate, Janet Wood on the popular American TV sitcom "Three's Company".
When she was not at work being a TV Actress, Joyce was known for her love of renovating and she would spend many hours swinging a hammer. Ms. DeWitt (also known as Joyce De Witt) also spent weeks visiting with her older sister most Thursdays when she was able to spare a lot of weeks. Ever since she was a girl in Wheeling, many remember Joyce as a caring person with fantastic chestnuts of wisdom that annoyed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a small donation in her honor to the Family Assistance Program of Hollywood.
A funeral is expected to commence Friday the 5th at the burial place in Wheeling. The service will commence at 9AM with a raucous reception to follow hosted by her older sister at the crematorium where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at burial place at 1PM.
