Juliette Gordon Low (born October 31, 1860 in Savannah, Georgia) was an academic, writer and artist who was best known for being the founder of Girl Scouts of the United States, which was founded in 1912. Juliette died on January 17, 1927 and her death was because of breast cancer. She died too soon at age 66.
