Karen Anne Carpenter (born March 2, 1950 in New Haven, Connecticut) was a singer who was best known for being in a duo along with her brother Richard Carpenter called, “The Carpenters.” Karen died on February 4, 1983 and her death was because of heart failure caused by anorexia nervosa. She died very young at age 32.
