Kate Nelligan (born March 16th, 1950 in London, Ontario) was a Film Actress who was best known for her appearance in the film "The Prince of Tides". Kate died on April 19th, 2024 (TBV) and her death was possibly because of an bad medical episode.

Sandra "Sandy" Mellish (Née McNeil): Kate Nelligan’s mother Josephine(Jay) was my elementary school teacher at St.Patrick’s Catholic School in London Ontario. She was a teacher who gave encouragement always. She was so kind, she took me home and bought me dresses and, shoes and hats for church. I will never forget her kindness.
