Katherine Anne Porter (born May 15, 1890 in Indian Creek, Texas) was a journalist, writer, and novelist who was best known for best selling 1962 novel, “Ship of Fools” and for her other short stories receiving much more critical acclaim. Katherine died on September 18, 1980 and her death was possibly because of old age. She died at the advanced age of 90.
