Kenneth Mars (born April 4, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois) was a film actor, TV actor, and voice actor who was best known for his roles as the deranged Nazi playwright Franz Liebkind in the 1967 film, “The Producers” and Police Inspector Hans Wilhelm Friedrich Kemp in the 1974 comedy/horror film, “Young Frankenstein.” Kenneth died on February 12, 2011 and his death was because of pancreatic cancer, which he had been suffering from for years. He died at age 75.
