Samuel Laird Cregar (born July 28, 1913 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) was a stage actor and film actor who was best known for his performances in films such as “I Wake Up Screaming” and “The Lodger.” Laird died on December 9, 1944 and his death was reportedly because of a heart attack. He died young at age 31.
