Lana Turner (born February 8, 1921 in Wallace, Idaho) was a film actress and model who was best known for achieving fame as both a movie star and pin-up model during her 50 year career. Lana died on June 29, 1995 and her death was because of oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, which is a type of throat cancer. She died at age 74 and was cremated.
