Lester Raymond Brown (born March 14, 1912 in Reinerton-Orwin-Muir, Pennsylvania) was a musician who was best known for leading the big band "Les Brown and His Band of Renown" for nearly seven decades from 1938 to 2000. Les died on January 4, 2001 and his death was because of lung cancer. He was 88 when he passed.
