Leslie Howard (born April 3, 1893 in Upper Norwood, London) was a film actor, film director, and film producer who was best known for being one of the biggest movie idols of the 1930’s. Leslie died on June 1, 1943 and his death was reportedly because his plane was shot down by German fighter planes. He died quite young at just 50 years old.
