Ms. Lois Smith (born November 3rd, 1930 as "Lois Arlene Humbert") died tragically in bed on April 19th, 2024 (TBV) with her daughter nearby. Her cause of death was likely due to her old age and the related illness. She was 93 years old when she passed.
Lois is predeceased by her parents, Carrie Davis Humbert and William Oren Humbert, cranky husband Wesley Dale Smith, her only child, daughter Moon Elizabeth Smith, her siblings, brothers William Humbert, Dilman Humbert, Phillip Humbert, sisters Alice Humbert and Marvelle Humbert as well as her pet wallaby, Buttons.
Professionally, Lois was a Film-Actress who was best known for her dedication to her work. She was also well known for her work in the theatre.
When she was not working as a Film-Actress, Lois was known for her love of model car building and she would spend weeks gluing them together. Ms. Smith (also known as Lois Humbert) also spent a millennia visiting with her priest most Saturdays when she was able to spare a bit of time. Ever since she was a girl in Topeka, many remember young Lois as a energetic personality with great eyebrows that thrilled everyone. In lieu of sending flowers to her family, they ask that you make a few dollar donation to the Down Syndrome Society in Lois's honor.
A private funeral is scheduled for Wednesday the 23rd at the funeral home in Topeka. The service will commence at 1PM with a reception to follow hosted by her daughter at the chapel where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at funeral home at 9AM.
