Gerald David “Lorenzo” Music (born May 2, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York) was a TV actor, TV producer, and writer who was best known for being a regular performer on the American TV variety show, “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,” for co-creating the 1972-1978 CBS sitcom, “The Bob Newhart Show.” He also performed the voice of “Garfield” on the animated specials and including the cartoon series, “Garfield and Friends” during the 1980’s. Lorenzo died on August 4, 2001 and his death was because of complications from lung and bone cancer. He died quite soon at age 64.
