Loretta Young (born January 6, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah) was a film actress and TV actress who was best known for her academy award winning role as Katrin “Katy” Holstein in the 1947 comedy film, “The Farmer’s Daughter” and for her own anthology series, “The Loretta Young Show” which ran from 1953 till 1961. Loretta died on August 12, 2000 and her death was because of ovarian cancer. She died at age 87.
