Lewis Reed (born March 2nd, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York) was a Singer-Songwriter who was best known for being the main songwriter for the rock band the "Velvet Underground". Lewis died on October 27th, 2013 and his death was because of liver disease. He was 71 years old and in poor health.
