María Guadalupe Villalobos Vélez (born July 18, 1908 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico) was a film actress, singer, and dancer who was best known for her role as Carmelita Fuentes in the 1940 film, “Mexican Spitfire.” Lupe died on December 14, 1944 and her death was reportedly because of suicide by barbiturate poisoning. She died very young at age 36.
