Marie Salomea Skłodowska–Curie

Marie Salomea Skłodowska–Curie (born November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Poland) was a Nobel laureate and inventor who was best known for conducting pioneering research on radioactivity and for discovering Radium and Polonium. Marie died on July 4, 1934 and her death was because of aplastic anemia. She died at age 66.
