Ms. Marie Kondo (born October 9th, 1984) died quietly in a messy bedroom on March 16th, 2026 (TBV) with her eldest daughter nearby. Her cause of death was reportedly an automobile accident. She was 41 years old when she passed.
Marie is survived by her parents, Mom Kondo and Harley Kondo, beloved husband Takumi Kawahara, her children, son Billy Kawahara, daughters Satsuki Kawahara and Miko Kawahara as well as her occasional friend, Roxy.
Professionally, Marie was a TV Personality who was best known as a Japanese organizing consultant who helps people declutter their homes.
When she was not working as a TV Personality, Marie was known for her love of talking to her underwear and she would spend days most mornings doing it. Ms. Kondo (also known as KonMari) also spent decades visiting with her older sister most weeks when she was able to spare a small number of days. Ever since she was a girl in Tokyo, many remember Marie as a funny character with silly photo albums that shocked everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a heartfelt donation to the Heart Foundation in Marie's honor.
A burial is scheduled for Wednesday the 29th at the church in Tokyo. The service will commence at 3PM with a reception to follow hosted by her older sister at the burial place where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at church at 4PM.
