Martin Luther King, Jr. (born January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia) was an Activist who was best known for being the most visible spokesman and leader in the civil rights movement. Martin Luther King Jr. died on April 4, 1968 and his death was because he was assassinated by James Earl Ray with a sniper rifle. He died young at age 38.
