Lois Maureen Stapleton (born June 21, 1925 in Troy, New York) was a film actress who was best known for her fiery performance as the anarchist Emma Goldman in the 1981 drama film, "Reds.” Maureen died on March 13, 2006 and her death was because of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She died at age 80.
