Maynard Jackson

Maynard Holbrook Jackson Jr. (born March 23, 1938 in Dallas, Texas) was a politician and lawyer who was best known for being elected in 1973 as the first black mayor of the American city, Atlanta, Georgia. Maynard died on June 23, 2003 and his death was because of a heart attack. He died quite young at age 65.
