McLean Stevenson

Mr. McLean Stevenson (born November 14th, 1927 as "Edgar McLean Stevenson Jr.") died in hospital on February 15th, 1996 with his family nearby. His cause of death was a heart attack while recovering from bladder surgery. He was 68 years old when he passed.

McLean is survived by his parents, Lottie McLean and Edgar Stevenson, beloved wife Ginny Fosdick, his sibling, sister Ann Whitney as well as his pet capybara, Max.

Professionally, McLean was a TV Actor who was best known for his role as Lt. Colonel Henry Blake in the popular American TV series M*A*S*H.

When he was not working as a TV Actor, McLean was known for his love of birding and he would spend minutes most Mondays polishing it. Mr. Stevenson (the deceased) also spent decades visiting with his older sister most Thursdays when he was able to spare a small number of minutes. Ever since he was a boy in Normal, many remember McLean as a bit of a curmudgeon with funny practical jokes that impressed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a cash donation to the Heart Foundation in McLean's honor.
