Melchor Gastón Ferrer (born August 25, 1917 in Elberon, New Jersey) was a film actor, TV actor, and film director who was best known for his role as David Mendelssor in the 1953 musical film, “Lili” and as Prince Andrei in the 1956 drama/romance film, “War and Peace.” Mel died on June 2, 2008 and his death was because of heart failure. He died at age 90.
