David Melvin English (born October 12, 1942 in Montgomery, Alabama) was a singer and musician who was best known for his role as a founding member of Motown singing group, “The Temptations” that were popular from 1960 to 1994. Melvin died on February 23, 1995 and his death was because of congestive heart failure following a series of seizures. He died too young at age 52.
