Mervyn Griffin (born July 6th, 1925 in San Mateo, California) was an TV Personality who was best known for hosting of his own TV talk show, The Merv Griffin Show, and created the long-running game shows Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Mervyn died on August 12th, 2007. Merv's death was due to prostate cancer which he battled for several years. He was 82.
