John Michael Crichton (born October 23, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois) was an author and filmmaker who was best known for having books sold over 200 million copies and having a dozen of them adapted into the films “A Case Of Need,” “The Andromeda,” “Dealing,” “Binary,” “The Terminal Man,” “The Great Train Robbery,” “Eaters of the Dead,” “Congo,” “Sphere,” “Jurassic Park,” “Rising Sun,” “Disclosure,” “The Lost World” and “Timeline.” John died on November 4, 2008 and his death was because of lymphoma. He died quite soon at age 66.
