Mickey Spillane (born March 9, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York) was a novelist and film actor who was best know for writing about his character, detective “Mike Hammer” which was adapted the 1984-1989 crime TV series, “The New Mike Hammer.” Mickey died on July 17, 2006 and his death was because of pancreatic cancer. He died at age 88.
