Milton Berle (born July 12, 1908 in New York City, New York) was a TV actor, film actor and comedian who was best known for being the host of the American TV network's “Texaco Star Theatre” (1948–1955). He was the first major American TV star and was known by his viewers as "Uncle Miltie" or "Mr. Television". Milton died on March 27, 2002 and his death was documented as being due to colon cancer. He died at age 93.
