Nell Ruth Hardy (born September 13, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama) was a singer and TV actress who was best known for her role as Nell Harper on the American TV sitcom, “Gimme a Break!”. Nell died on January 23, 2003 and her death was related to diabetes. She died quite young at age 54.
