Elizabeth Cochran Seaman (born May 5, 1864 in Cochrans Mills, Pennsylvania) was a journalist and inventor who was best known for her record-breaking trip around the world in 72 days. Nellie died on January 27, 1922 and her death was because of pneumonia. She died too soon at age 57.
