Nina Simone (born Eunice Kathleen Waymon on February 21, 1933 in Tryon, North Carolina) was a singer-songwriter, musician, and activist who was best known for her spanned styles of classical, folk, gospel, blues, jazz, R&B, and pop. Nina died on April 21, 2003 and her death was because of breast cancer. She died at age 70.
